图书馆系统主要由10个部门组成，它们包括：谢里登图书馆（Sheridan Libraries at Homewood），Welch医学图书馆（the Welch Medical Library），医学机构图书馆（the Medical Institution Libraries），护理学院图书馆（the School of Nursing Library），布隆伯格公共卫生学院图书馆（Abraham M. Lilienfeld Library at the Bloomberg School），皮博迪学院图书馆（the Peabody Institute Library），开瑞商学院和约翰霍普金斯教育学院图书馆（the Carey Business School and School of Education libraries），亚伯拉罕米利林费尔德高级国际研究学院图书馆（the School of Advanced International Studies Libraries），约翰霍普金斯应用物理实验室图书馆（the R.E. Gibson Library at the Applied Physics Laboratory Library）和其他更小型的图书馆。
其中皮博迪音乐学院图书馆被誉为世界十大最美图书馆之一。
