马凯特大学创建于1881年。位于密尔基。是一所学制为4年的综合性大学。学校可授予学士、硕士、博士学位。在校学生人数有12024人,其中研究生3069人(全日制1807人),学生来自38个国家。教师有1000人(专职567人),其中453人有博士学位。

第一年新生有43%获奖学金,平均每人约3000美元,海外生虽较难取得,但并非无机会。第一二年学生规定必须住宿,大学不设截止申请日期,前一两年有6081人投考,录取人数达4903人。

学校历史
